FAQs

Living life uncottaged takes a little risk! But once you experience Artisa Cottage Cheese single serve snacks, you will have broken through to health and nutrition possibilities like never before. Yet if you're one to take more calculated risks, here are a few answers to others' more pressing questions.

We spend the time to do the right things, the right way. Our cheese makers spend over 12 hours handcrafting our unique, all natural cottage cheese. Artisa is made with real fruit on the bottom. We use only the freshest milk and fruit picked at the peak of perfection. You can rest assured that each cup of Artisa is free of high-fructose corn syrup, artificial ingredients and preservatives.

Each cup of all natural Artisa cottage cheese has between 15g-19g of naturally occurring protein – no protein additives! Artisa delivers more protein – and less sugar – than the leading yogurt brands. Artisa is also a good source of essential nutrients, such as calcium, zinc, sodium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron and vitamin A.

Fresh milk from local farmers is heated until it thickens and begins to separate into light, fluffy curds. Any excess liquid is strained and recycled back into other products creating zero waste. Artisa curds are then stirred into fresh cream to create our signature soft and creamy taste.

Each cup of Artisa Cottage Cheese has MORE protein and LESS sugar than the leading Greek Yogurt brands – so you can get more of what’s good for you! Artisa and Greek Yogurt are both excellent sources of essential nutrients, such as calcium, zinc, sodium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron and vitamin A.

The “Sell Buy” date is listed at the top of each Artisa cup. We use a Sell Buy date to ensure our retailers are always stocking the freshest Artisa possible. And since we’re so picky about our cheese, we recommend eating within two weeks of the Sell Buy date. Always keep Artisa refrigerated and never consume Artisa if the seal has been broken.

Of course! Artisa is an excellent source of natural protein making it a healthy choice for expecting mothers. Unlike most other soft cheeses your doctor may tell you to avoid, Artisa is made from pasteurized milk, making it a safe option. Please always consult your doctor for dietary recommendations.

We never recommend freezing Artisa. Here at Artisa, we are passionate about great-tasting cottage cheese. And the best cottage cheese is fresh cottage cheese. That’s why we use only the freshest milk and fruits.

Artisa is fruit-on-the-bottom cottage cheese. Stir it up and enjoy!

It is always our goal to partner with responsible farmers, as close to home as possible.
